Arizona State Credit Union‘s Battle Against Identity Theft Continues in East Flagstaff
Credit Union to Wrap Up First Leg of Shred-A-Thon Tour
PHOENIX, Ariz.– Arizona State Credit Union’s Shred-A-Thon heads to East Flagstaff Tuesday, July 12, before starting its second half of the tour in downtown Flagstaff. This free event helps members of the community by raising awareness about the importance of shredding personal documents to protect against identity theft.
“It is an amazing sight to see associates and community members gather together to fight against identity theft,” said David E. Doss, President/CEO of Arizona State Credit Union. “As we approach the fourth of seven stops on a tour throughout the Credit Union’s Northern Arizona branches, we are hopeful that two Flagstaff events will provide community members the added convenience they need to come out and shred their old documents.”
Arizona State Credit Union hosted its most recent Shred-A-Thon event at its Chino Valley branch June 14. With business owners and community members lined up before the Shred It truck arrived, over 2,500 pounds of old documents were shredded and recycled – the equivalent of saving 12 trees.
Documents to bring to the Shred-A-Thons include bank statements, tax returns, medical bills, credit card statements and other personal documents. Arizona State Credit Union will offer $100 to anyone who opens a checking account with direct deposit during any of the events.
Shred-A-Thons will be hosted from 11 AM to 2 PM and are open to all members of the community. Below is a list of the remaining locations and dates:
