Arizona State Credit Union to Host First of Eight Shred-A-Thons Across Northern Arizona
Credit Union helping the community protect against personal identify theft
PHOENIX, Ariz. - Arizona State Credit Union will kick off its first of many Shred-A-Thons throughout their Northern Arizona branches on February 23. This free event helps members of the community by raising awareness about the importance of shredding personal documents to protect against identity theft.
"With more than 11 million adults affected by identity theft in 2009, Arizona State Credit Union wants to help members of our communities protect themselves," said David E. Doss, President and CEO of Arizona State Credit Union. "We hope the Shred-A-Thon will expand awareness on this important issue to everyone."
Important documents to bring to the Shred-A-Thons include bank statements, tax returns, medical bills, credit card statements and other personal documents. Arizona State Credit Union will be offering a hundred dollars to any member of the community who opens a checking account with direct deposit during any of the free Shred-A-Thon events.
