In today's busy world, it's easy to lose track of things. That includes exactly how much money you have left in your checking account. OneAZ offers Overdraft Source and Courtesy Pay options for overdraft protection to cover you in unexpected moments, like when you don’t have enough funds in your account to cover a transaction.

OneAZ’s Overdraft Source allows you to link accounts to your checking account to pull funds from if you overdraw your account. Courtesy pay covers payments when there aren’t enough funds in your account.

Learn how Courtesy Pay works at OneAZ.

Overdraft Source allows you to pull funds from another account at OneAZ when your checking account does not have enough funds to complete a transaction. You can link a Savings or Personal Line of Credit to your checking account.

When funds are not available in your checking account, OneAZ will use funds from the Overdraft Source. If funds are available in the Overdraft Source, OneAZ will complete the payment.

Yes, there is a $5 fee for every Overdraft Source transaction. For more details on those fees, please visit our schedule of fees.

  2. Additional Overdraft Protection - This is an optional service that allows OneAZ to cover withdrawals and transfers made at an ATM and additional purchases made with your OneAZ Debit Card.
  1. Standard Overdraft Protection – All members are automatically enrolled as a benefit when they sign up for membership.
  2. Additional Overdraft Protection - You can sign up for Courtesy Pay with Additional Overdraft Protection when you open a OneAZ Checking account or at any time throughout your membership.

While overdraft fees happen, they are avoidable. Here are a few key points to keep in mind.

  • Minimize your risk: Budgeting and planning will help you see how your income and expenses work together.
  • Evaluate your options: As a member, it is helpful to understand the available products and account features that may help limit fees in the event of overdraft. You can link your savings, credit card, or line of credit to your checking account to minimize fees.
  • Monitor your activity: To stay on top of your account balance, consider account features such as mobile banking and low-balance alerts.
