Credit Union’s scholarship program helps Arizona university, college students from across the state with education-related financial obligations

PHOENIX (August 15, 2017) – As the school year gets underway in Arizona,OneAZ Credit Union in partnership with the OneAZ Community Foundation has awarded scholarships, each valued at $1,000, to students enrolled as an incoming junior or senior at Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, or the University of Arizona, or an incoming sophomore at an Arizona community college.

“For 66 years, OneAZ has been focused on improving the lives of our members and the communities we serve,” said David E. Doss, President/CEO of OneAZ Credit Union. “Education is a vital component of helping the next generation of Arizona’s leaders pursue their dreams.”

For nearly 10 years, OneAZ credit union has been providing financial support to Arizona university and college students through its scholarship program, which is a testament to the credit union’s longstanding commitment to education. The scholarships will help students pay for various school expenses, including tuition, books and other academic necessities. This year’s recipients include:

Applicants were required to submit a 500-word essay or a 60-second video that highlights the benefits of credit union membership to millennials. To have been eligible to receive a scholarship, either applicants or their parents, grandparents or legal guardians must be OneAZ Credit Union members.
